JOB TITLE:
Shipping & Receiving Technician

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Production Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:
The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for the preparation of outgoing shipments and the receipt of incoming shipments.
* Additional duties may be added as the need arises.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Outgoing shipments of all products – properly pick, package, and verify quantities, and destination.
  • Work with QuickBooks in processing orders, and generating shipping documentation (sales orders, shipping lists, etc.).
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with company procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate with customers regarding:
    • Shipment confirmation
    • Estimated arrival dates
    • Available products/back-order status
  • Communicate with various departments (Production, Inventory and Finance) regarding product, shipping and customer account issues.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • The position is active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and crouching.
    • Frequently work in and out of a cold room with temperature ranging from 35 – 40 °F.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working experience of the internet/e-mail, Word, and Excel programs is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with FedEx & UPS on-line delivery/pick-up and QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates should have a high attention to detail and ability to work well under deadline situations.

JOB TITLE:
Product Documentation Specialist/Administrative Assistant

RESPONSIBLE TO:
VP of Operations

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Clerical duties: filing, faxing, scanning, typing, and editing papers
  • Customer Support back-up (answering phones)
  • Co-ordinating meeting schedules

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Production Documentation Specialist:

  • Follow proper regulatory procedures for document control creation, updating, maintenance, and obsoleting of Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI), Manufacturing Specification Sheets (MSS), Transfer Lot, and Protocol Working Copies and Master Copies.
  • Engineering Change Order (ECO) Procedure Creation & Updates
  • Product affiliated corrections & updates of labels, product inserts, product catalogs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Administrative Assistant:

  • Scanning Production paperwork or obsoleted paperwork as needed
  • Circulate sign-off sheets for Engineering or Document Change Orders (ECOs/DCOs)
  • Meeting Minutes Record Keeping * Additional duties may be added as the need arises

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (degree in biology related field is preferred)
  • Applicants should be well-versed in the use of the internet, email, Adobe Acrobat, and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills

JOB TITLE:
Quality Control Associate

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Production Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:
The Quality Control (QC) Associate is responsible for the qualification of raw materials, in progress items, finished goods and equipment. Materials will be tested at all phases of production to measure their characteristics and to ensure they conform to specifications

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • QC inspection of raw materials, in-process items, finished goods, outgoing shipments and
    received goods to ensure specifications are met.
  • QC testing of production retains to ensure shelf-life of product. ‐ Review and perform
    maintenance, calibration, qualification, and all other work which is performed to ensure the
    equipment used is in compliance.
  • Perform and/or design QC stability studies, investigate, and troubleshoot product issues.
  • Shared responsibility of product complaint investigation with Customer Service/Technical
    Support Associate.
  • Generate Certificate of Analysis and QC memorandums and properly document and maintain
    records.
  • Procedure development and protocol writing
  • Undergo training for immunoassay reagent and calibrator production.
  • Tasks divided to approximately 90% QC responsibilities and 10% Production Chemistry.
  • Production work entails formulation of calibrator and buffer solutions, manufacturing of
    enzyme immunoassays and product packaging.
  • General lab and equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work place, including washing glassware and bulk containers.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedure guidelines.
  • Meet production deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business
    associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies
    and practices.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.A., B.S., or M.S. in biology related field or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Must be detail oriented and excellent at record keeping
  • Able to think critically and analyze basic data
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds
  • Familiar with a laboratory setting and basic handling of lab related materials is preferred
  • Understand basic calculations of concentrations and dilutions
  • Applicants should be well-versed in the use of the internet/email, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination
