JOB TITLE:
Postdoctoral Associate, Immunology

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Senior Scientist, Immunology

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Cell line maintenance and inventory.
  • Animal colony maintenance.
  • Laboratory Maintenance.
  • Cell culture, generation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.

    * Additional duties may be added as the need arises

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Maintenance and inventory of current production cell lines. 
  • Animal studies: marking, injection, bleeding, and ascites collection of research animals.
  • Maintenance of laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Maintenance of Immunology department supplies and minimums stock.
  • Maintenance of CO2 and Liquid N2 Tanks. 
  • Hybridoma Fusion.
  • Novel monoclonal antibody generation.
  • Characterization/selection of monoclonal antibodies for homogeneous enzyme immunoassay. 
  • Research and development of new products and product technology.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ph.D. in cell biology or immunology or equivalent.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination.

GENERAL ON THE JOB TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bleeding/injections of mice.
  • Generation, characterization, and selection of monoclonal antibodies.
  • Assay optimization.

 


 

JOB TITLE:
Development Associate Level I

RESPONSIBLE TO:
VP of R&D and Project Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

Conduct novel enzyme immunoassay (EIA) research and development projects for the detection
of drugs of abuse in urinalysis and oral fluid testing. These projects will be used to obtain FDA
510(k) clearance and non-510(k) validations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Prepare drug conjugates and optimize antibodies for immunoassay development
  • Conduct immunoassay optimizations and show proficiency on a variety of clinical
    analyzers
  • Analyze and interpret data, accurately and consistently record methods and results
  • Prepare and present technical data summaries for design review and regulatory
    submission
  • Be able to present project results at team meetings
  • Complete projects in an organized and timely manner
  • Assist in the transfer of completed development projects to Production

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in biology or chemistry related field, or equivalent with 2+ years of R&D laboratory
    experience or equivalent or
  • M.S. in biology or chemistry related field, or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience with immunoassay research is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Working experience of the Internet/e-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel programs is
    preferred but not required
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination
