JOB TITLE:
Postdoctoral Associate, Immunology

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Senior Scientist, Immunology

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Cell line maintenance and inventory.
  • Animal colony maintenance.
  • Laboratory Maintenance.
  • Cell culture, generation of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Maintenance and inventory of current production cell lines. 
  • Animal studies: marking, injection, bleeding, and ascites collection of research animals.
  • Maintenance of laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Maintenance of Immunology department supplies and minimums stock.
  • Maintenance of CO2 and Liquid N2 Tanks. 
  • Hybridoma Fusion.
  • Novel monoclonal antibody generation.
  • Characterization/selection of monoclonal antibodies for homogeneous enzyme immunoassay. 
  • Research and development of new products and product technology.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ph.D. in cell biology or immunology or equivalent.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well on a team.
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination.

GENERAL ON THE JOB TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bleeding/injections of mice.
  • Generation, characterization, and selection of monoclonal antibodies.
  • Assay optimization.

 


 

JOB TITLE:
Quality Control Associate

RESPONSIBLE TO:
Production Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • The Quality Control (QC) Associate is responsible for the qualification of raw materials, in progress items, finished goods and equipment. 
  • Materials will be tested at all phases of production to measure their characteristics and to ensure they conform to specifications.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • QC inspection of raw materials, in-process items, finished goods, outgoing shipments and received goods to ensure specifications are met. 
  • QC testing of production retains to ensure shelf-life of product. 
  • Review and perform maintenance, calibration, qualification, and all other work which is performed to ensure the equipment used is in compliance.
  • Perform and/or design QC stability studies, investigate, and troubleshoot product issues.
  • Shared responsibility of product complaint investigation with Customer Service/Technical Service Associate.
  • Generate Certificate of Analysis and QC memorandums and properly document and maintain records.
  • Procedure development and protocol writing.
  • Undergo training for immunoassay reagent and calibrator production. 
  • Tasks divided to approximately 90% QC responsibilities and 10% Production Chemistry.
  • Production work entails formulation of calibrator and buffer solutions, manufacturing of enzyme immunoassays and product packaging.
  • General lab and equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work place, including washing glassware and bulk containers.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedure guidelines.
  • Meet production deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.A., B.S., or M.S. in biology related field or equivalent.
  • Must be detail oriented and excellent at record keeping.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Able to think critically and analyze basic data.
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • Familiarity with a laboratory setting and basic handling of lab related materials is preferred.
  • Understands basic calculations of concentrations and dilutions.
  • Applicants should be well-versed in the use of the internet/email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination.

 


 

JOB TITLE:
Bottle and Labeling Technician

RESPONSIBLE TO:
VP of Operations and Production Manager

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • The Bottling and Labeling Technician is responsible for the packaging of products.

* Additional duties may be added as the need arises.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Assemble finished good products and print using bar-code software, label, fill, cap and package.
  • Examine and inspect labels and finished good products to ensure that packing specifications are met. 
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and properly document process with good documentation practices.
  • Maintain inventory of bottling and labeling supplies. 
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work place, including washing glassware and bulk containers.
  • General lab and equipment maintenance.
  • Meet production deadlines and manage multiple projects.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Must be able to life/move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work well under deadline situations.
  • Basic knowledge of internet/e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
  • Must have Hepatitis B vaccination (Proof of vaccination can be fulfilled after hired).
